Summer at the Quarter

On Saturday, 3rd August, Waterside Quarter in Maidenhead hosted its ‘Summer in the Quarter’ event, welcoming local residents to an afternoon filled with fun and entertainment.

The waterside bars and restaurants provided a variety of food and drink options and visitors enjoyed a range of activities, including boat rides and live music, while basking in the summer sunshine.

Coppa Club hosted an outdoor pop-up bar serving spritzers and non-alcoholic coolers, while Presto, the Italian street food restaurant, handed out sample slices of their delicious pizza and El Cerdo Tapas Bar offered visitors dining with them a free glass of cava to enjoy with their lunch and early dinner menu.

An ice-cream van was on hand to keep visitors cool with the classic 99 ice cream for the throwback price of 99p which proved very popular with children and adults alike!

To balance out the delicious food and drink, F45 Training handed out goody bags and guests were given the opportunity to enter a cycling competition to win a free month’s membership at the studio.

The free-to-attend event was organised by Shanly Homes and Sorbon Estates. Katherine Croom, Managing Director of Sorbon Estates, said:

‘We were delighted that so many people came to enjoy all that Waterside Quarter has to offer. The ice cream van was non-stop with 500 classic 99p ice creams provided to visitors and over 150 people enjoyed boat trips courtesy of the Friends of Maidenhead Waterways, a charity which supports the restoration of the Royal Borough’s waterways.

‘We’d like to thank everyone who came to enjoy the event and the many businesses in the area who contributed to make the day so special. We’re looking forward to hosting more events in the future to offer people in Maidenhead the opportunity to enjoy the bars, restaurants and businesses based in the area.’
