Bringing a Mediterranean flavour to Maidenhead’s new Waterside Quarter development, tapas bar El Cerdo opened its doors on Wednesday March 15th ready to delight locals and tourists. Located alongside the stunning waterways, El Cerdo offers an authentic Spanish experience inspired by the regions of Andalusia and Galicia.
Founded by close friends, inspired by their travels throughout Spain, El Cerdo aims to transport visitors by replicating the vibrant, community feel of Spanish restaurants. Offering a wide range of flavoursome dishes, El Cerdo’s menu focuses on using local ingredients to create melt-in-the mouth dishes designed to be shared amongst family and friends. With meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes on the menu, El Cerdo makes tapas available for everyone to love and enjoy.
With summer months ahead, and outdoor dining by the tranquil waterway on the horizon, El Cerdo’s collection of Spanish wines and beers will completement the robust flavours of its food, transporting diners to the Iberian Peninsula.
El Cerdo is the latest restaurant to open at Waterside Quarter, joining local favourites Sauce & Flour, Bardo Lounge and Coppa Club as part of the new mixed-use development by Shanly Homes and Sorbon Estates. Carefully designed to revitalise the heart of Maidenhead and create a thoughtfully designed lively new restaurant, retail and leisure quarter, the development will act as a cornerstone of the local community.
