Live and Local: Summer Sounds

This August, we’re delighted to welcome Live and Local: Summer Sounds to Waterside Quarter, in partnership with Maidenhead Festival, returning bigger and better than last year!

Join us for a free, feel-good afternoon of live music, great food and drink, and family entertainment, right by the water in the heart of Maidenhead. Following a successful launch last year, we’re closing the road outside Waterside Quarter to create an even bigger event space, with a larger stage, more room for audiences to enjoy the performances, and plenty of activities for all ages throughout the afternoon.

What to Expect

Set against the relaxed riverside backdrop of Waterside Quarter, this special one-day event brings together some of Maidenhead’s most talented local musicians, alongside family-friendly attractions, community groups and fantastic food and drink.

There will be plenty to keep little ones entertained, including free children’s crafts, face painting from Sass & Sparkle, mini funfair rides from Traylens Fun Fairs, and free boat rides courtesy of the Friends of Maidenhead Waterways. Visitors can also browse a variety of community stalls and try their luck in the grand raffle.

Music Line-Up

Enjoy a packed programme of live performances throughout the day:

12.00pm – Smile Mona Lisa
12.45pm – The Maideleles
1.30pm – Sepia Folk Collective
2.15pm – Helena
3.00pm – Blackmore
3.45pm – Ciaran & Lee
4.30pm – Annie, Ella & The Riverman
5.15pm – Tara Deane

From uplifting acoustic sets to talented singer-songwriters and local favourites, the line-up promises the perfect soundtrack to a summer afternoon by the water.

Come for the Music, Stay for the Atmosphere

Find a spot to sit back, relax and soak up the festival atmosphere while enjoying an array of delicious food and drink from our pop-up vendors. Sample authentic Indian street food from Bombay Story, grab a refreshing drink from the Coppa Club bar, or cool down with ice creams from Cocoba Chocolate Café.

Whether you’re joining us for the music, bringing the family for a fun day out, or simply looking to enjoy great food and drinks by the water, Live and Local: Summer Sounds promises something for everyone.
